on a sidenote....
i love thunderstorms. i know the science behind the why it happens and some of the hows associated with it, but apparently today i'm just plain stupid.
the air was thick with ozone when i got home, but i still had to bring out the garbage. i figured that if it began to pour when i got home; i'll just bring the garbage out tomorrow. well, guess what? it did, the second i opened the garage door and ducked in. garbage will keep for another day, i figure, plus i guess that nobody truly likes handling wet garbage, especially the garbage collectors.
and so, i was safely in the house, away from the possibility of being struck down by lightning. that though, brought a thought into my head:
if you knew that it was dangerous to be out in a thunderstorm (which, i hope everybody does), and yet you still do even if you didn't have to, would it be considered suicide if you do get hit by lightning? i've always believed that God has a sense of humor. who knows? maybe if i did do that, God just needed a good laugh.
