mistaken identity

one of my other younger cousins dropped by today. she's a few months younger than the toothless wonder that i currently reside with, but they're lightyears away from each other when it came down to personality and character.

maybe it is true what they say about kids at around this age -- the girls mature faster than the boys.

what i did find as very... endearing was her sense of humor.

she arrived as i was on my way out to work and i was holding my vest and tie in my hand. she looked at me for half a second before she commented.

looks like mr. fancy pants is in town.

you'd hardly expect something like that from a 7 year old these days. something funny and at the same time cheeky. very disarming.

i had a smile on my face the whole drive to work.
