moshi moshi, revisited

i think that that particular mystery in my life has been resolved.

thing is, it wasn't as exciting as i thought it would be.

it wasn't a stalker. it was just your regular, run-of-the-mill, telemarketer.

nuts.

i receive a call 11:13:44 this am. again, it just shows CALL and naturally, i answer. for once, there is somebody on the other side. i can hardly contain my excitement when i find that there is a person that I end up having a monosyllabic conversation.

or is it because it's a telemarketer?

anyway, he's selling credit cards and tells me that they had just received my information. he then continues on with his spiel.

it's a sweet deal actually. no annual fees or any late fees, if i remember correctly. also had a ceiling of $2500. i just had to behave for the first 6 months and it'll help build my credit.

then, after droning on for about a minute and a half without breathing, he tells me that i have to pay out this certain amount in two weeks and asks me if i can. my answer is simple:

probably not.

he then puts down the phone.

that's probably why telemarketers are the most hated callers in the world. the poor schmuck probably had a quota to reach, and a time limit to do it in as well, that pleasantries were disposable.

no emotion displayed whatsoever.

didn't even try to win me over in getting the product, and i'm easy.

in retrospect, he is the suckiest telemarketer that i have ever encountered.

hmpf.

must be new.










least he said thank you before he put down the phone.
