Lights....
I've always been interested in pursuing a career in film. You probably guessed that, as evidenced by my new picture, trying to direct a friend as to how I wanted the picture to look like.
we were both bored, and he wanted a new picture to go with his profile. go figure.
anyway, this all happened in new york over the 4th of july weekend. even if i had to drive over 4 hours going there, i'd still say that i got recharged, of sorts.
so, we were walking around the city when we chanced upon the TISCHNER SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS. i wouldn't mind studying there, except that the t in arts fell off and it just sounded too lewd and funny at the same time.
there was also the asian girl in the subway station under 42nd street. It was while waiting for the 7 train, I think. She was playing what I think they call a Pipa (or one of its larger and numerous-stringed cousins) and her plucking was accompanied by some Asian guy's synthetic organ playing. it just transported me from underground to a scene that may have been outdoors in a field bordered by dense foiliage. the wind was gently caressing me whilst they played on. almost missed my train too.
it's weird, but i feel some sort of connection for this city that never sleeps. i know that i almost didn't in the three days that i was there.
