lesson "learned"

i have been fussed at for not writing often enough, uh, again. that being said, i'd like to take this opportunity to first congratulate an old flame for finally taking the plunge and deciding to tie the knot. i told her that now that she's married, i can no longer fantasize about her, lest i burn eternally in some form or another. she thanked me for the sentiment, but i think she wasn't too sure whether i meant ill or good with that statement.

i also sort of paid her a compliment by telling her that she's one of but a few of my former flames that i still associate with, seeing that once they've had their fill of me, they just chuck me to the wayside. oh, so much drama! heh.

at any rate, she's cool, and just in case there are doubts about my sincerity, here's to her:

congratulations mogs. i truly am happy for you.

okay, moving on.

one of the reasons that i haven't been writing much is because work, again, got in the way. you know how it is, you just get sucked into it, and then a couple of days has passed and you've slacked in the writing department.

kind of makes you wonder if it is worth working, doesn't it? i mean, sure, it pays for everything and all, but it eats up everything as well.

that being said, i just came back from a weekend dance bootcamp, for lack of a better term. heck, i could call it a seminar, but it just doesn't seem to hack it. anyway, one of the topics mentioned was entitled i got here, now what?, or something like that (hmm... goes to show you that i was paying attention, eh?). basically though, it talked about how one could potentially grow in the biz.

admittedly, i am feeling a tad restless; unsure where this path will lead me. that little talk helped.

one of the things mentioned in that said talk was the reassessment of one's self. i can tell you straight off the bat that i can be quite bossy and opinionated. that said, the other thing that was mentioned was to succeed, one must have the desire to change.

well, good luck on that one.
