cooling down, and then some
according to my daily planner, today would be the first official day of autumn. it makes sense, considering the amount of browned leaves i have seen on the ground of late. it also explains why i've been feeling unlike myself for the past few days.
sure, i can attribute my generally pleasant disposition gone awry to lack of sleep and the upcoming dance competition, but i doubt if a sinus-like headache, dry eyes, and cracked lips can all be because the sandman hasn't come and visit as is his routine. i think i am having some sort of seasonal allergy.
i find that amazing, since this is the first time that it has happened to me at this time of the year. normally, i have spring allergies, but i didn't this year so i assumed that i've acclimatized myself enough. apparently not; it just moved to a different season.
this tells me that i have possibly adjusted so well to this climate that things in the air now irritate me. that would've been such a laughable thing barely 3 years ago; the pollution in the air from the motherland was so thick that when one wiped sweat off of one's face, grime went with it.
i've decided that i won't allow my allergies to stop me from living a relatively normal life, hence, i went to the nearest cvs pharmacy and bought myself some alka seltzer plus. did i mention that this product has aspirin in it, which by the way, i am allergic to as well?
i just can't win.

aside from the cold tablets, some claritin blister packs, and a bottle of sport-styling gel, i also bought two containers of arizona lemon iced tea. i have been addicted to the stuff since 1998, so it greatly vexed me when i dropped one of it in the parking lot and thus shattering it. to mourn for that loss, i am drowning my sorrows by drinking the intact one.

in a few hours, i will be in a competition. for some weird reason, i am having this urge to shave my pits. any thoughts on this too much information (t.m.i.) inspired query?
