letting it all hang out
i went out with CT last night. he's one of the few buds of mine that i've known since college and since he's moved to the area, we've been jamming off and on.
i suppose, it should go without saying that since we're college buds, that means that we came from the same rock. that also translates to a relative amount of connection in the sense of humour department. i find that though some people here find my jab at comedy refreshing, i've been vocalising more and more that it seemed funnier in my head.
have i ever mentioned that he used to be snap's student? no? well, there. i've said it.
due to the power problem at work, i was able to go out and meet up with him. we ended up at bennigan's, me devouring half a rack of baby back rib, and him the ribeye. after that, he wanted to go out dancing. no problem with that, except that he wanted to do so in snap's studio. what did i say about his humour, eh? i told him, no, that it was more trouble than it was worth, and that seeing snap wasn't exactly my idea of a fun evening.
he persisted though, and i just told him that he could go if he wanted, say hello to my xgf from me even if he wished, but i wasn't going to go there willfully and stick my head into the noose and commit suicide. besides, i was bound to see her this weekend anyway whether i'd like to or no since i had a dancecamp to attend.
this seemed to have make him perk up, since i introduced him to another beauty from another studio a while back and his question was whether tala would be there. i told him that i honestly did not know but if she was, i promised to take pictures of her for him with the camera in my mind.
we ended up spending the next few hours just shooting the breeze mostly. some people from college came up in the conversation and we'd wonder how they were. we even scoped out some women, through his goading. i eventually had to tell him that they were too young and i narrowly missed his well-aimed slap to my noggin. what was i complaining about, he said, since i tended to veer towards the young ones anyway, to his opinion. i just had to swallow that one.
eventually, i had to call it the night since i needed to go get my beauty rest. i gave him two pairs of dance shoes for letting me use his spare laptop, said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
what pissed me off was the fact that snap was back in my head when i didn't need her to be. still, i couldn't really blame CT for that; we've been known to really trash talk about anything and everything under the sun and this was fair game. that may well be, but it still doesn't change the fact that now i have to contend with her visage on my mind.
oh how i look forward to the weekend.
