dance examination day

it is finished. what has been keeping me occupied since coming back from my vacation, from writing in this blog even, has come to pass. it took me the whole of today, beginning at 8 in the a.m. (review time), all the way to 6 in the p.m. (2 to 6 was the practical) it's hard, grueling work, but i feel so much better now that i'm done with it.

so, what is it, i hear the people scream in that imagined audience in my head.

i'm talking about my dance test.

admittedly it doesn't sound too intimidating when said that way, but it is. imagine having to go through 10 different dances, including their variations. couple that with the technique involved in it, leading and being lead through the steps, and the questions both oral and written. that sounds a tad more like an examination now, doesn't it?

i must confess, i was a wreck during the whole endeavour. though work was only from 10 am to 2 pm today, i'm still at work, borrowing the internet connection because my knees have somehow managed to turn into jello. my feet hurt far more now than on a regular day and i feel as if my brain had been fried, what with all the thinking i had to put it through.

my feelings are mixed but in the whole, i am happy to say that that's done. now, to rest a bit, both mind and body.

i need to get ready for the next round of examinations though. that, i'll hold off on, for at least until november.
