i just walked in from dancing over at the barking dog with ct. i was hesitant to go at first, considering that the mercury has dipped to 16° F. that's without any wind factor.
you'll be thanking me later. that's what ct said to me, while we walked from the parking garage to the entrance of this bar/restaurant/salsa joint. of course, it sounded so much like he was tripping on something, while i was on a natural high of the shivers. nonetheless, i did come out to play, so i might as well play hard.
we come in and having not gone here for well over 2 months, there're a few new faces. i recognize some old ones, but i don't really feel like going up to them and initiating some kind of small talk. i did get to dance around 4 dances and i got to warm up a tad.
the problem with getting out of the office at 10 pm is that it'll be past 11 by the time you get to a place like this. you then have until midnight to shake your thing, then the lights go up, and you realize that you wish that the person you were dancing with would turn into a pumpkin.
still, i broke into a sweat, saw some familiar faces, and had a nice wind down from the stresses of work. and yes, ct was indeed right. much as i hate to admit it, i had fun.
all i have to do now is thank him the next time i see him.
