basement greetings
i have officially lost my position in the bathroom on the second floor.
it's not a total loss; i've taken over residence at the basement bathroom now. it makes better sense, since my room is just a trip away.
why not use that to begin with? simple. there was a break in the sewer pipe outside right before winter officially began and anybody using any type of plumbing in the house ended up having it drain in the basement. don't even imagine how that looked like. i can assure you now that it was not a pretty sight.
well, that's all fixed, but the stigma of using it stayed with me way longer than the duration of its incapacity.
until, we had houseguests, that is.
don't get me wrong, i'm sure that they're wonderful people.
except that they smoke.
in the garage too.
i go through there each day before and night after work, and i end up smelling like an ashtray in transit to and from inside the house.
it sticks to my clothes, skin, and hair and it's just really wonderful to start and end a day that way.
just imagine how the second floor lavatory must smell now.
i think, i'd take no light nor windows from down below over the privilege of using the smoky bathroom any day.
